The result is a Verified status that proves you are a real, trusted person without exposing your sensitive documents to every app you use.
Rideshare is the first member feature built on that verification gate: only members with a Verified USA ID can access it. That keeps the experience safer and more trustworthy for everyone in the network.
Plan a ride, open it in Lyft
Rideshare lives right in your app navigation. Set where you are and where you're going, then tap to open the ride pre-filled in the Lyft app — no re-typing addresses, no fumbling at pickup. Your verified status travels with the trip.
From verified to riding in five steps
1. Get verified on the Dashboard
Complete your USA ID verification once — submit your government ID, liveness check, and sanctions screening. Once your status reads Verified, rideshare unlocks automatically.
2. Open USA ID Rideshare
Find Rideshare in the top navigation (visible to signed-in members). It's a verified-only feature, so you'll always know everyone using it has passed the same identity bar.
3. Set your pickup & destination
Use your device location for pickup and enter any destination address — it's geocoded instantly so Lyft knows exactly where to take you.
4. Open the ride in Lyft
One tap deep-links a pre-filled ride straight into the Lyft app — pickup and destination already set. You confirm and request in Lyft.
5. Earn ride rewards
Every ride booked through USA ID contributes to your rewards balance. Your tier (bronze → platinum) grows with your points and unlocks bigger multipliers.

Tip: keep your verification current. Rewards eligibility requires a Verified USA ID status at the time of the ride.
